Statement of Commitment
Alimentiv is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We are
committed to treating people with disabilities in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and
independence. We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with
disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by removing and preventing barriers to accessibility and
meeting our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and
Ontario’s accessibility laws.
Our accessibility policies are consistent with the principles of independence, dignity, integration, and
equality of opportunity for people with disabilities.
Introduction
Alimentiv is a global niche contract research organization, specializing in gastro-intestinal diseases.
Alimentiv provides a complete range of professional clinical research services to a broad base of
academic and industry clients and has been operating since 1986.
As an employer, we are committed to fostering a culture in which all employees receive equal
opportunities. We value fairness and equal treatment on all grounds, including disability. We partner
with community organizations offering assistance to people facing barriers to employment. We commit
to a safe and accessible physical and virtual workspace, where differences are celebrated, and individuals
are treated with dignity and respect.
Alimentiv strives to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard
to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility.
Alimentiv is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with
Disabilities Act, 2005. This accessibility plan outlines the steps we are taking to meet those requirements
and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.
- Our plan shows how we will play our role in making Ontario an accessible province for all
Ontarians.
- The plan is reviewed and updated at least once every 5 years.
- We train every person as soon as practicable after being hired and provide training in respect of
any changes to the policies.
- We maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was
provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.

Customer Service
- If there were specific customer requests for accommodation during meetings or work-related
events, we would accommodate on an as-needed basis.
Information and Communications
- In 2022 we created our DE&I strategy which is inclusive of those with disabilities.
- In 2023 we formed our first DE&I Committee.
- The accessibility policy is posted on our website.
- Our company website is WCAG 2.1 compliant.
Employment
- Registered with the Discover Ability Network for posting jobs.
- Partnered with Western Students with Disabilities hiring program: attended the hireWesternU
Accessible Employment forum, an educational networking session for employers to understand
the barriers that people with disabilities face when navigating the employment landscape.
- During the hiring process, Alimentiv includes the statement in our job postings that
accommodations are available at all stages of the recruitment lifecycle.
Training
- Provided diversity training to all staff.
- All new employees in Canada take AODA training during onboarding.
Design of Public Space
- When designing spaces consideration is given to providing properly accessible spaces.
Section 2: Strategies and Actions
Customer Service
Alimentiv is committed to providing accessible customer service to people with disabilities. This means
that we will provide goods, services, and facilities to people with disabilities with the same high-quality
and timeliness as others
- If there were specific customer requests for accommodation during meetings or work-related events, we would accommodate on an as-needed basis.
Information and Communications
Alimentiv is committed to making our information and communications accessible to people with
disabilities.
- Consider posting about specific accessibility days internally as well as externally (i.e. on social
- media accounts).
- Create safe spaces and opportunities for people with disabilities to provide support to each
other through Employee Resource Groups.
- Continue to make the accessibility policy available on the company website.
- Review the accessibility policy regularly to ensure it is current.
- Create awareness among and educate staff regarding best practices in delivering accessible
presentations and/or business communications.
Employment
Alimentiv is committed to fair and accessible employment practices.
- Continue to be registered with the Discover Ability Network for posting jobs.
- Continued partnership with Western Students with Disabilities hiring program.
- Consider accessibility and accommodation in all recruitment and employment processes.
Training
Alimentiv is committed to providing training in the requirements of Ontario’s accessibility laws and the
Ontario Human Rights Code as it applies to people with disabilities.
- Continue to provide diversity training to all staff annually.
- All new employees in Canada will continue to take AODA training during onboarding.
Design of Public Spaces
Alimentiv will meet accessibility laws when building or making major changes to public spaces.
- Plans are pending regarding remote work, may not be required.
