Nadine Chomyc is a Senior Clinical Research Associate at Alimentiv, where she has worked for the past ten years.
Why did you become a CRA?
I was drawn to clinical research as it combines science, patient impact, and collaboration. Being a CRA helps me have a direct role in ensuring that clinical trials are being conducted ethically and accurately, while helping deliver new therapies to patients.
What is your favorite part of your role?
My favorite part is knowing that the work we do really contributes to advancing medical research and helping bring new therapies to patients. I also enjoy building strong relationships with my study sites and working with diverse teams all around the world.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned while working at Alimentiv?
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability. Clinical research is constantly evolving and being flexible while maintaining quality and compliance is essential to success.
What is your advice for new CRAs?
Be curious, stay organized, and focus on developing really strong communication skills. Having a solid understanding of clinical research regulations can really be valuable as well.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, my dogs, my toddler twins, and staying active and getting outside as much as possible.
